My Approach
My approach is rooted in the belief that recovery is not only physical — it’s emotional, practical, and deeply personal. Each client’s story, lifestyle, and goals are different, so therapy should reflect that individuality.
I work collaboratively with clients to understand not just their symptoms, but the real-life impact of those symptoms — whether that’s struggling to dress, return to work, manage fatigue, or simply regain confidence using their hand again.

Using the principles of occupational therapy, I focus on meaningful outcomes: restoring independence, improving daily function, and supporting a sense of control over recovery. My background in psychology helps me recognise the emotional and behavioural aspects of rehabilitation, ensuring each plan is supportive, achievable, and motivating.

I combine hands-on techniques, exercise therapy, education, and functional retraining with a compassionate, evidence-based approach. Where appropriate, I integrate self-management strategies, pacing techniques, and environmental adaptations to make progress sustainable.
Having worked in both hand therapy and case management, I understand the value of joined-up care. I liaise with consultants, physiotherapists, and other professionals when needed, ensuring that clients receive coordinated, goal-focused rehabilitation that supports their wider recovery journey.

Ultimately, my role is to help people move with confidence, return to the things that matter most, and feel supported at every step of their rehabilitation.
